Help with Campaign against eTV

(information from Pastor Errol Naidoo follows. Please help by expressing your views to the appropriate contacts)

Boycott E-TV

Join the "E-tv Mass Switch Off" Campaign & Defend the Integrity, & Dignity of Women & Children in SA!

E-tv Defends Right to Demean & Objectify Women & Expose Children to Porn!
The many complaints E-tv received demanding they immediately cancel “Naked News” and other pornographic content that harm women & children were dismissed with the usual contempt.
E-tv responded by citing their “legal rights”, “adherence to the Broadcasting Code of Conduct” and “international acceptable standards” that have nothing to do with SA’s unique challenges.
The Broadcasting Complaints Commission (BCCSA) was established by media insiders to impose their liberal agenda on the media and very rarely reflects the views of the general public.
What E-tv refuses to acknowledge is the rampant sexual abuse of women & children, the 50 000 women raped annually and the fact that South Africa has the most parentless homes as a result of HIV/AIDS related deaths. The statistics of family violence and family breakdown is equally horrific.
Alarmingly, the terrible consequences of the sexual exploitation of women & children fueled by pornography have not convinced E-tv to abandon its anti-family programming policies.
As a result of E-tv’s arrogant response, I have launched the "E-tv Mass Switch Off"Campaign. I have already contacted several denominational leaders and written to about two thousand Churches to support the boycott. The immediate response has been overwhelmingly positive.
I received hundreds of emails from concerned Christians indicating their support of the boycott!
See Eyewitness News article Hereand Rapport news article Here.
THE CHURCH MUST STAND UNITED AGAINST THIS EVIL TO PROTECT WOMEN & CHILDREN IN SA!
There are several ways you can help spread the word to bring E-tv to its knees. E-tv depends on advertising revenue. If millions of Christian viewers boycott the channel – they will lose millions!
Please unite with your fellow Christians in SA and take a stand against E-tv’s insistence that it broadcast pornography on national free-to-air TV, despite evidence of children viewing porn.
1.      Please write to E-tv at Vasili.Vass@etv.co.za briefly advising him about your decision to boycott the channel until they cancel Naked News and other pornographic content.

2.      Pastors: please inform your congregations & ministry associates about the E-tv boycott.

3.      Church & Denominational leaders: Please submit a statement to the media stating your support for the 'Mass Switch Off' and also list the number of Churches & members in your group joining the boycott.  See media contacts Here. Please also send a copy to me.

4.       Forward this alert to every Christian you know & request their support for the boycott.
If you receive E-tv through DStv or Top TV you can block the channel through the parental control facility. Or simply tune out the E-tv channel on your TV set until you have a snowy picture.
Christians must unite against this assault on women & children. We cannot miss this opportunity to send a clear message to E-tv, the SABC, DStv & Top-TV that we will not tolerate the sexual degradation of women and children on TV, nor will we remain silent when the family is undermined.
Remember, Pick'n Pay, UCT, & Woolworths reversed their policies when you spoke up! DStv also abandoned their plans for a 24 hour porn channel when Christians united in action.
If you continue supporting E-tv, you will strengthen their hand to continue demeaning and objectifying women and exposing children to sexually explicit images on national television.
Every Christian, Church and organisation in the country must join the “E-tv Mass Switch Off” Campaign to defend the integrity, dignity and safety of women and children in South Africa.
