- Aids in Africa
Currently 25 million Africans are infected with HIV. UNAIDS estimates that the
infection rate will peak at 25 30% of the population within the next ten years.
More than 8 million children have already been orphaned in sub-Saharan Africa and it is
likely that the disease will produce 3 million orphans over the next year.
- A Plan Already in
Place The JIREH project stems from a vision of concerned Christian
volunteers from various countries to join hands in caring for AIDS orphans. Our aim is to
not only house, feed and clothe them, but to raise a new generation according to Christian
values, resulting in a lifestyle and moral outlook that precludes AIDS, crime and
prostitution.
